Are your employees or members one of the 40% experiencing financial stress?
Employee wellbeing is declining due to financial stress
In a study completed by NAB, they found that 'not having enough money for an emergency was the most frequently cited cause of financial stress'. Followed by being unable to pay bills (19%), having enough for food and essentials (16%) and paying medical bills (11%).
This kind of stress increases anxiety in employees and often has flow-on effects in the workplace. Which can then create even more stress.
Whether you have employees or members, you can help. Just by facilitating access to financial guidance and education, you can help them develop a better financial framework to cope. Source
Research from NAB has found 40% of Australians have experienced some form of financial stress or hardship in the past three months.
The main driver of financial anxiety last quarter was the ability to finance retirement, with 55.4% of respondents listing it as a concern.
According to the NAB Australian Wellbeing Survey for Q4 2019, this is the highest number of financially stressed Australians since Q4 2016, and an increase from 36% in Q3 2019.
Reduce the financial stress of your employees and members by empowering them to make the most of their salary.
Financial education can improve the chances of adequately planning for retirement - no matter what stage they're at.
Understanding how investment markets work can empower individuals to set realistic financial goals and achieve them.
How it works
Create a financial workshop for your employees or members
We help you to create a workshop theme and the right content framework for your employees or members. We then schedule a date and time for the workshop - simple!
The workshop can be from 2 hours to 2 days. Whatever you decide, our financial advisers will develop a training program and content tailored to your organisation.
In order to ensure the right level of support for attendees, we limit the number of participants per workshop to 20. We can do this online, or in-person (when possible again).
After the workshop has ended, the participants will receive a workbook in PDF. They can then move forward and implement the right strategies for them.
Workshop topics we can support employees or members with:
Savings vs Investment
Clearing money blocks
Investment from A-Z
Introduction to ETFs
Investing in the Capital Market
After the workshop.
Through our experience, when someone attends one of our workshops, they're feeling more confident to take their next step. This could be to start a savings plan or even start a small investment fund.
For many, it also creates a level of confidence for them to reach out and seek some structured advice. This can be a great start for many to taking the first step to approach money in an effective manner.
Sometimes we get very individual questions, which can't be answered in a public setting. Working on some financial advice packages for your participants are a perfect addition to a workshop.
